Is Paul Martin Innocent of Adscam?

Judge Gomery thinks so. Now what I see in Paul Martin is more along the lines of the term plausible deniability. I think that Paul Martin's camp knew about what was going on and saw the perfect situation to take out Jean Chrietien and his followers while deflecting any criticism away from Paul Martin.

The only problem is that back when Paul Martin was Finance Minister The Liberal Party's policy chairman wrote Paul Martin in February, 2002, pleading with him to look into rumours that taxpayer's money was going into the pockets of Liberal-friendly ad agencies in Quebec. Martin ignored the letter. In fact his office sent back a form letter. (via The Black Rod) To me that is plausible deniability.

What they didn't expect was the anger Adscam has unleashed and that everyone sees the terms of reference of the Gomery Inquiry were written to avoid looking at Paul Martin's activities as Finance Minister.

Is Paul Martin innocent? Only of active participation in Adscam. Not from political responsibility.
